ADYU Astrophysics Application and Research Center Joins the International Whole Earth Telescope Campaign
Adıyaman University Astrophysics Application and Research Center (ADYU ARMER) to Participate in the International Whole Earth Telescope (WET) Observation Campaign
Under the coordination of Dr. Nazlı Karaman, the Adıyaman University Astrophysics Application and Research Center (ADYU ARMER) will take part in the Whole Earth Telescope (WET) international observation campaign, scheduled to be held between October 13–27, 2025.
This global campaign will involve 42 telescopes from countries including the United States, China, Kazakhstan, India, Poland, Spain, and many others. The main objective is to study the morphology of the debris disk surrounding G29-38, a white dwarf with a pulsating hydrogen atmosphere.
Such debris disks offer crucial insights into the composition of exoplanets and the evolution of planetary systems. The campaign will feature simultaneous observations in both optical and infrared wavelengths.
As ADYU ARMER, we plan to contribute to this international scientific effort through optical observations using our ADYU60 telescope.
